The Subaru Ascent’s EyeSight Driver Assist system receives an upgrade for the new model year, adding features like automatic emergency steering. When the vehicle senses a collision is imminent, it can actively work to avoid obstructions. Paired with the Pre-Collision Braking feature, it becomes a powerful tool for mitigating or even avoiding a collision.
The EyeSight system also constantly analyzes the road ahead, helping the vehicle to maintain its position in a lane. The Adaptive Cruise Control feature harnesses the power of EyeSight to maintain whatever distance the driver sets between the vehicle and any other vehicle in its lane. This allows the Subaru Ascent to accelerate or slow its speed in response to a change in speed by the vehicle in front of it.
