The new Subaru Global Platform with a lower center of gravity helps the Crosstrek corner better. An updated suspension and improved body stiffness make it more stable. In addition, the boxer engine sits low in the chassis, keeping weight low. The new rear suspension mounts the rear stabilizer bar directly to the car body.

The Crosstrek’s agility and precision come from the Active Torque Vectoring (ATV). First introduced on the WRX and WRX STI performance cars, ATV is now standard on all 2018 Crosstrek trims.

Subaru’s X-Mode traction assist system is also now standard on all 2018 Crosstrek trims with the Lineartronic CVT. This feature makes it more fun to drive in the dirt and in extreme off-road situations.
