Get Close to Nature at The Millbrook Marsh Nature Center

 

Looking for a family outing where you can get close to nature? The Millbrook Marsh Nature Center is a relaxing natural setting close to home. Our Stocker Subaru staff in State College loves the walking trails, wildlife viewing areas and beautiful views in this unique marsh ecosystem. It’s a great place for walking the dog, hiking or enjoying a picnic. The Nature Center is also connected to the #CentreRegion bike paths, so you can ride your bike there. The barn and Spring Creek Education Building are open during public programs and are available to rent for private functions. Admission to the center is free! Millbrook Marsh trails and grounds are open daily dawn to dusk.

Millbrook Marsh Nature Center, operated by Centre Region Parks & Recreation, is a 62-acre site consisting of a 12-acre farmstead area with a large bank barn and several outbuildings.  It’s adjacent to a 50-acre wetland area. 

 

The facilities at the Nature Center, including the grounds, barn and picnic pavilion, are available for rent to groups from churches, schools, neighborhoods, scout groups and businesses. If you’re planning a group picnic, meeting, birthday party or other group activity, think about having it at the Nature Center.

 

If you want to get more out of your visit, schedule a guided walk with a naturalist who will share stories and information about the plants, wildlife, habitat and history of the unique marsh ecosystem. Guided walks can be designed for all ages and are perfect for individuals, families or small groups.
