2017 Subaru Outback Adds New Top-of-the-Line Touring Trim Model

The 2017 Subaru Outback two-row midsize crossover features exclusive all-wheel drive, two engine options and six trim levels. Brilliant Brown has been added as a new exterior color.

The 2017 Subaru Outback is available with a choice of engines: a 175-hp 2.5-liter flat-four engine that delivers 174 lb-ft of torque or a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 256 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with a CVT with a manual mode and steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

The interior of the new Touring model features sophisticated new Java Brown perforated leather trim with contrasting ivory stitching on the seats, door panels, and armrests. It also features a unique woodgrain trim with piano-black panel accents. It comes standard with a heated steering wheel and the StarLink infotainment system on a 7.0-inch touchscreen with navigation.

Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist Technology package is available on all models except the base model. This package includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane departure warning, sway warning and lane keep assist. Other available features include blind spot detection with lane change assist and rear cross traffic alert, high beam assist and reverse automatic braking. When equipped with the EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, the 2017 #Outback received the 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK award and when equipped with EyeSight and HID Headlights, received the 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award.
