Subaru’s New “Ascent” Concept Car: Three Rows Of Safety

Subaru has displayed a new 3-row SUV that will be debuting next year for purchase. The 2018 Subaru Ascent will enter the crossover SUV market
in the US and will likely be a hybrid model. Recently, Subaru Corporation announced a new “architecture” for all future vehicles to be made and the 2018 Ascent seems to be the showpony for their new campaign. Stocker Subaru of State College Pennsylvania has read up on the subject and wants to tell our customers what’s in store in their Subaru future.

New Platform, New Possibilities

In short, the Global platform is a standard of Subaru ownership that provides advanced technologies as a part of the base package on new vehicles. Features like the boxer engine, AWD and other safety minded designs are the focus of the new platform.

Subaru has said that plenty of options for alternative fuel vehicles are coming soon and the 2018 Crosstrek Hybrid is the first endeavor. As a staple of “Made in the USA”, Subaru’s new plant in Lafayette, Indiana will produce the new 2018 Ascent SUV.

What To Expect

Unlike the 2014 Subaru Tribeca which was a little small for its class, the Ascent will have 7 seats and the same oversized panoramic moonroof that the brand is known for. Rear climate control, Subaru’s Starlink technology for your smartphone and a 2.4 liter supercharged flat four-cylinder will place the Ascent in direct competition to the Mazda CX-9.
